It has been a brutally busy few months.
One more perturbation to the chaos is that today, Little Miss starts full-time kindergarten. We were going to home-school her, but after a few weeks of being exposed to some other kids who went on endlessly about how much they liked being in a classroom, Little Miss wanted to go to a regular school.
So, we've enrolled her in a local global academy type thing. What I like most is that they require the kids to spend a few hours a day in immersion language. While other campuses, which are entirely too far away for a daily drive, offer German and Russian, the closest campus offers the standard Spanish and French, but also Chinese.
She didn't like Spanish.
French was full.
And she is (and we are) good with the selection.
I'm still going to use German at home. Why expose the kids to only two languages, when they can have three?
